PROFILE OF THE CO-FOUNDERS (CONT.)

Jane E. Durgom-Powers received her Juris Doctorem Degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1974. Her deep interest in humanitarian endeavors compelled her to serve as a co-founder of The Raoul Wallenberg Humanitarian Institute.

Durgom-Powers' extraordinary credentials include serving as Vice-Chair of the International Human Rights Committee of the International Law and Practice Section of the American Bar Association, Chair of the American Bar Association's Humanitarian Law Sub Committee of the International Human Rights Committee, and Legal Counsel for the National League of Families of the American Prisoners and Missing in Southeast Asia (NLOF) dealing with MIA and POW cases. Jane also represented families of service personnel in Operation Desert Storm.

As a result of her work over the years, Durgom-Powers has developed an excellent reputation with several U.S. Congressmen, as well as with members of the Department of Defense.

Further, Durgom-Powers is involved with philanthropic work such as the Lay Missionaries of Charity, an organization started by Father Sebastian and Mother Teresa of Calcutta. Additionally, she works directly with the Sisters of the Missionaries of Charity.

Durgom-Powers, a sought-after lecturer, is a recipient of several humanitarian awards and recognition's nationally and internationally.
